Now I'm going to have to cut a piece of leather and see if I can figure out that little trick you did with the belt loop :) puzzles are fun;)

Ah - a slit in the sheath, for the loop material to come through. That makes sense. I might try that! Thanks Scruff!

I like that a lot - and will save me from having to make a new sheath for a kephart I picked up where the previous owner cut the belt loop off of so they could use it as a necker.
 
1066vik - you have hit exactly on the beauty of this loop, it's replaceable! I love this idea for a belt loop.
 
Great work and a great thread Scruff. For me, there is no finer gift you can give to a friend than something you have made yourself, and in this case made well. Looks like you really have something to treasure here Andi :)

And, it's less work than stitching on the loop! And the knife can swing freely to stay out of the way. Neat trick.
I'm saving this thread just for that.
And for the sawing off of corners.
