This is a message I sent to the Dutch Bushcraft Boys. Please do not mention The Major Knife Company who closed down this spring.
I want this thread to go beyond that. I'd like to focus on fixing this and keeping it from happening again and not beat a dead horse.
Open Source Software-- software in which programmers can look at the actual source code is more secure. You know why? Because if you you have thousands of programmers looking at the inner structure of the code there will be no more secrets. Nothing can be hidden. That's the idea. 1000 Keyboard Warriors testing the steel. No more hiding. I sincerely believe this will vastly improve the state of the industry.

Hey Guys. You know what would happen if you independently and scientifically verified the steel of each knife you review? At this point in time, you'd double your audience. You need some simple testing equipment and a way to insure the individual knife is a random sample. Not hard to do and it would certainly redeem you for your promotion of B**T. You'd be f***ing legends. And once you start doing it, other people will. An Army of Internet Knife Nuts testing steel on the internet. No more nonsense. You get 50 channels that actually test every knife they review and you've solved this problem. Be the leaders in solving this problem.
