The thing is, how many times have you bought a knife from a large commercial dealer and thought to yourself, I’d better have this blade tested to make sure it’s “xyz”. Same as I’ve never thought to test my truck to make sure it was a Toyota or a Jeep. I just take it for granted that I’m buying a Toyota or a Jeep.The problem with this idea is that to grow on YouTube, you need to post consistently and often. If they devoted that much time into testing their knives in detail, the channel would shrink. They already do far more testing than is ideal for viewership, the formula favors cursory unboxing videos over tests. Look at the size of Metal Complex's channel and then look at Cedric and Ada, for instance.
