flames-n-knives

I just think Flames-n-Knives bumped on the pre order knives. Spyderco is notorious for it unreliable delivery dates ( we all learned to live with it :o ) due to the fact that they only ship when completely happy with the knives. This way the time between the actual shipping can differ a lot.
I still believe in Flames-n-knives as my primary source for my knives.

I have done at least one deal with Mike and he was a stand up guy. I also almost bought a knife from Flames and Knives but when they never answered my question, I just couldn't do it. I am not one of those guys that feels like they have to ask stupid questions everytime they buy something. I don't ask a question unless I need to. When someone is too busy to deal with a customer, I assume they are also going to be ship the product in a quick manner.

If I ask a qustion and the seller blows me off, I assume they don't want my biz. I am not saying that I would never buy from them but I do avoid them when I see them. If there are several sellers for the same knife and the prices are within a few dollars, I will go with anyone but flames and knives.

I had already put this out of mind, but perhaps an addendum of sorts is in order. So there is no misunderstanding, I have no doubt that at some point the item I paid for would have showed up.

However, the auction ended on 10/26/05 and it never shipped as of 11/3/05.
According to Flames they somehow never recieved my 2 requests for a refund, so there was no reason not to ship the item, and yet it never shipped. It has never arrived on this end, and it never will.

I first raised the question of a refund if the item was in fact on back order, and never got an answer. My second request for a refund was very specific after not getting any answer at all about the status, and again, this request was also somehow not recieved.

I have a very well honed sense of when someone is making an honest mistake and when someone is shining me on, and is why I posted here in GB&U, despite my strong reluctance to do so.

As I said, I won't ever do business with Flames for any reason at all, as I cannot abide selectively poor communication.

Thanks, Mike. It is important that we get both good and bad impressions that people have about a company or person that they are dealing with. When everything is there for us to look at, we can then make a decision based on what is before us.

I have done business with these folks before and I was treated extremely well during each and every purchase.

I have completed three orders and have very satisfied.
