Hi, im looking for some (and dont laugh if this is stupid for whatever reason) knives that are easy to ignite, and stay lit for long periods of time. a friend of mine suggested the idea, and i have not found anything on the web about knives meant specifically for igniting. any thoughts?

And why is this in Custom & Handmade Knives?
No, knives are made to cut, not to ignite.

I hope this is some sort of joke.....I don't know what you and your friend are thinking, but it is a terrible idea. You could get seriously hurt if you are screwing around like that. I would take Esav's advice, and leave the idea alone.

I thought this was about flaming Ti handle scales...
How does one ignite a knife?

a freiend suggested i do this:

except light them on fire, except that steel isnt very flammable. and its in custom knives because i have not been able to find something like this in the usual pawn shop knife
section. please if you have a legitimate answer help me, if not, cool.

err...have you tried this already with knives that aren't on fire? Maybe practice with a trainer knife first?

wtfam i supposed to train on? i already do this with knives. that is me in the video almost a year ago. i practice on knives are sharp, how much more dangerous can it get if i practice in approved areas?

Maybe post on a Circus forum, or some venue where they talk about flaming knives, and juggling knives, or swallowing swords, etc.

Im sure there must be a forum about that somewhere. Sorry I cant help more.

Uhh... something tells me that this can't possibly be the disconnect here, but just in case: You are aware that steel doesn't just catch on fire when it's in the form of a blade, right? You'd have to put fuel on it.

thank you for all the interesting comments, and the useless warnings. can anyone tell me something other than knives are for cutting. any legitimate links to some REAL professional who makes knives custom for more than just "cutting"
