Flashlights for -$100?

I carry an Olight M18 and I really like it. Light, super bright and has a pocket clip. Also has three different brightness modes, strobe function and a tail button for easy operation.

I did a bunch of research over the past few days and ended up ordering the Sunwayman V11R. Lots of battery choices (with optional extension) and short of $70.00 at many online vendors. This one gets great reviews. With rechargables RCR123,16340 or AA equivalent, you will get over 500 lumens, down to 1 lumen (and everywhere in between).

4Sevens came out with Maelstrom Regen MMR-X recently and I couldn't find many reviews about it. What do you guys think of it?

I have a half dozen CHEAP flashlights from amazon that i beat to death and they keep on working. Not one of them was over $15

The "SecurityIng® 1800 Lumens Zoomable CREE XM-L T6" is my favorite. I dropped it from my 3rd story balcony on accident once while it was on, it landed on concrete and never flickered. Battery live is great and it costs $14 shipped

In researching flashlights, I seem to have come across some parallels but also some BIG differences between knives and flashlights. One of them is country of origin. There are highly touted chinese made flashlights along with ridiculed and hated Chinese made flashlights. The difference is that some of the best flashlights are from China where that does not seem to be the case with knives. Sure, there are great USA made lights (and the price follows) but they aren't that much "better" than the best Chinese made lights. I am not sure where I am going with this but I would imagine that most of those cheap flashlights are made in china and they make pretty good flashlights:)

I've just recently went through the process of purchasing my first EDC flashlight! What I can tell you to quickly summarize all the extensive research I've done is stick to reputable, popular brands (Fenix/Foursevens/Zebralight/Olight). In specific, the current popular EDC choice seems to be the Zebralight SC52W which I did ultimately end up ordering! If you look up any number of written or video reviews the overwhelming majority are extremely positive. I think I made the right choice in choosing the Zebralight but I highly recommend you do some research on it yourself. Regardless, whatever you do choose I hope it suits you well and be sure to report back!

Is the pocket clip reversible?

All of my flashlights are under 100, unless you are extremely picky and need them to work in extreme conditions, I'm sure any will be fine (in my experience).

I have cheap $5 gas station flashlights up to fenix and maelstrom. In my opinion they all work for normal tasks

I bought them for night hikes or night dog walk. Light enough for comfort and bezel/body is tough enough to be dropped by accident.
