Flat-Cap Jigging!!

Charlie, my friend, per what I've come to expect from you, this is yet another instant classic. I couldn't be more pleased. These knives built on the 93 frame are my absolute favorites of all the knives that GEC has ever produced. I could remove every other GEC from my collection and be content with just these. (That said, let's not be too hasty... 😁)

The bone is richly colored and is definitely a better example of what GEC can produce regarding jigging. I would almost say the pull and action is a touch lighter than the 2019 versions but in no way is it diminished. I gave it a flush, clean, and strop and she sings sweetly now. I don't think I'll be finding anything else to go in my pocket for awhile.

Nicely done Charlie and GEC. I couldn't be happier. (As an aside, I'm not much of a flat cap lad. My noggin is too big and I think they make me look silly. I admire the folks that can pull them off though)

A gentleman, who knows how to, value and appreciate a well designed and made knife. Very nice trio Dylan.👍🏻

I'm curious if the added time to make these covers so nice is what drove the price up a bit on these. I'm not complaining at all, these are worth every penny and then some!
These were/are a grail knife for many, especially given the scarcity of the first run of the Lamb Foot knives and its variants, and as a special run for Charlie as well these are all factors in play, for sure.

I certainly realize the 'Charlie factor' but that usually effects the secondary more than the retail market. I got each of my first run lambs on the secondary for less than what this one cost new. Again, not complaining, I'm honored to be getting one direct and am happy to not have to fight the secondary this time around.

This just might be the definition of “holy grail”

He said for many other, not everyone. The original lamb carry an incredibly high reputation for fit, finish and aesthetics. They are hard to beat!

Does anyone know of any other past GECs that have used flat-cap jigging?

My very first GEC was this 2020 Viper in black plum jigged bone. It has been well used/loved and has the best action of any GEC I own. I know there is a 74 that matches this 47, but since I only started collecting GEC in 2020, I’m not sure about anything before this.
