Flat Platen Re-surface?

Thanks! I did check that one out however and it's $32.55 delivered. I should probably just bite the bullet but I just ordered another couple hundred dollars of belts and stuff. Shh - don't tell my wife.
 
I couldn't find them platen covers the other nite so I ordered some new platens from Nathan.

USA Knifemaker Supply has them for sale. You can also go to your local glass store and ask. Most will have some scraps on hand they will cut to the size you want. I had a windshield replaced last year and was given 4 for free when I asked about them. If you have a cork belt about 150 grit or so, you can really size them as you want.
 
2x8 out of stock,sure I could have waited,but that's no fun.I think i'll try these hardened platens and see how it goes.
