Flaurinated grease.

I used CRK grease for everything until they started putting in the tooth paste style tube..errr...now I use CRK for most of CRK knives and the finish line for everything else. Yea I have used it on a CRK Before too for sure. It's nice bc it's in a syringe and it can be had a local bike shop. I used to race downhill and work on all my bikes myself so I used finish line products for years, people swear by CRK grease in the knife world and people swear by finish line lubes in the bike world. Honestly they are both high qaulity lubes and will perform well in your CRK knife. Hmm maybe to see which one is king of the hill I should use some CRK grease in my derailleur of my bike next time..haha I joke but it supports my point!

The truth is some people use them without any lube at all

I have never lubed my Sebenza Classic, and its been carried and used (though not exclusively) for several years. It opens as smoothly as ever. I almost never lube any folder.

I carry my small insingo in my pocket without the clip. The only time I clean it is if ther gets too much pocket junk in it or if I use it in wet conditions where the lube is washed away. The CRK lube does seem to last a long time even if it does make the action a little slow.

I think I'm with you on that, was sharpening my wife's uncle's custom decorated Sebenza and thought I'd polish up the washers and put some lube on there, so I ordered some from the local pharmacy ;) got it today and I kept getting a gritty rubbing action when I put the washers back on, very weird, so I wiped off the grease and put the washers on and it spun smooth, weirdness, so I put the knife back together, buttery smooth opening and closing now, I'm sure there is a thin film of lube on there, but maybe the lube in the tube, hehe that ryhmed, had bee setting too long and particles were crystalizing, dunno, but I sure do miss those old hypo days the stuff use to come in... there was another thread that Steel_Addiction commented that he tried Nano Oil with very good success, may search that out too, but for now, ain't using this $11 stuff just weird!!!

I too agreed with the concept "I have never lubed my Sebenza Classic, and its been carried and used (though not exclusively) for several years." However, I contacted CRK last summer and they indicated that the sebenza needs to be cleaned and lubed about once a year. They stated that it is to protect the knife from wear and rust. If you don't want to do the yearly maintenance, they told me their TAT is <2weeks on routine maintenance. IIRC the cost was around $15.
