Cool finds.
Sad the MOP is cracked, but at least 98% of it is still there.

I bought it because I don't have any MOP, and the only other Henckels I have is made by Boker, the brass is also coined, nice little knife no play and both blades still have snap, plus it's German month :-)

Very nice finds, Pete. Can't wait to see the Wadsworth and Sons cleaned up. I went to several places today and nothing but the journey was a joy.

I swear all the old two blade Jacks I find have all been sharpened by this guy

They all have deep grooves all over the blades.
Here it is Gevonovich

Thanks for the laugh! I've found a lot of his knives...lol

It looks great!! Well done. I can't tell what the handle halves are made of?

Here's what I found last weekend.

My favorite is the hammer...

Ebony? If you look at the before pics, the scales were really dull, mineral oil brought them back to life.

Very cool Glennbad, is that a pen knife with a pen?

Yes, it is a shell handle Imperial, a style known as Tu-tone. They're supposed to remind you of those cool tu-tone cars from back in the 50's. That is a pen, although I have never found one where the pen actually works after all those years. I'd love to find replacement refills for them.

I actually found a decent little Robeson today at the flea market.

Glennbad that's a cool knife, concept & scales.

Clutchcarter I really like the pocket worn bone on that one, the pile side looks great.

This knife cleaned up nice, my cell phone just can't capture the luster of these scales.
I like that the coining goes all the way around the knife, both blades took a nice edge, only downfall is the crack in the pile side scales, I have to fix, after I cleaned all the dirt & crud, it's loose, the crud was holding it on.

Beautiful Stich! I'm thinking a little thin CA applied under the slab with a razor blade and it should be good to go.

Thanks, trying to figure out if it's Pre or post 1960, it looks Pre to me but that is just on its physical appearance.

Found some info on the A.W. Wadsworth & Sons Germany knife, it was made by Kastor sometime 1905-1936. I found this cool chart that contains lots of info about the Kastor brands and the Kastor/ Camillus brands and all the knife brands contacted by them, it gives tang stamp, country of manufacture, years produced, Kastor related, parent company, along with other useful info.

Found this one today at the annual neighborhood Garage Sale. There was 60 garage sales in a condensed area and I went to quite a few. Lost count after 20 or so. This time I stayed focused so that I could hit as many as possible before the shut down at noon. I eventually came upon a house that seemed familiar somehow. The older woman sitting at the small table...you now the one...that wonderful grandmother that used to live next door. And her husband ...that next door neighbor that you always wanted to hang out with as a kid.
He and I ...we got to talking and before I knew it he went into the house and brought out a couple boxes of knives for my viewing pleasure. And a nice broad collection it was...just a sampling...he had two more rooms full. He was quite busy, so we exchanged numbers, shook hands and vowed to meet up soon.

As Paul Harvey would say...in that distinctive smooth baritone Midwestern voice that carried you back to times past...when neighbors really talked and connected..."and now for the rest of the story". Well, just a piece.
