Flipper 7

I can't stop looking at that flipper 7 lol and that might not be a good thing ...
Must say no 😳 LOL

Annnnnd, it here! Next to the Sheepdog.

Ya know what, something looks off about that 7 Flipper; not sure what it is, but I'll save you the hassle of a return and dispose of that properly. Just send it my way. ;)

Congrats on a cool variant of an absolute classic.

Sweet! Mine came in today too. Here it is along with a regular 7 and a Protech 7.

^ Agreed... a Super 7 would be perfect! I'm happy with 154cm, however.

Got it in my pocket today. Curious to see how Emerson has the heat treat on the s35vn. If it is going to perform any different from the 154cm as edc.

I'm guessing it should hold a edge a little better but might be a little more brittle .

Well after some moderate cardboard cutting I would say Mr. E has the ht for the s35vn spot on. Still feels just as sharp as it did out of the box.

Got #0069 here. As awful as the flipper looks, it is positioned perfectly and the grip is still great even though I loose a bit. Super smooth and easy to open but my lock is very sticky. Hopefully it will wear in but no luck yet.

My Sheepdogs lock was a little sticky at first but it didn't take to long to break in . There is no stick what so ever now so I would imagine your flipper 7 should do the same .

Call me crazy but I've really grown to like the looks of flippers and that includes the 7 although haven't seen one in person .

My one draw back to the 7 was the lack of an adiquite guard. Well, with the flipper, this has more than satisfied my needs so I bought one. I can report that I have no regrets about my purchase. Though some may complain about the look of it, the functionality makes up for it. Home fun Mr E!

From the pictures the black blade makes the flipper blend in better with the black grip . But I'm still leaning towards the stonewash since my Sheepdog is blacked out .

For those of you that have both, does the new Flipper 7 handle feel noticeably shorter than the regular, non-flipper?

I'm thinking of buying this, but since the flipper looks like it takes about 1/4" off the handle, I just afraid it's going to feel too short?

Any input on this great looking knife would be appreciated!

I could be wrong but from looking at the pictures your finger is going to lay in the curve just before the flipper regardless and the flipper would just be a great feature to stop your hand from sliding forward .
Hopefully those that own one will chime in and give you hands on opinions as mine is just a uneducated hunch .

Again, use the palm-grip when thrusting. The hand will not slide forward.
