It's a great knife, isn't it?:D:thumbup:

Mine always makes its way into my daily rotation.
No safe queens here, if it breaks, oh well...

You're the only person I've seen that actually uses his 0454 (besides myself). Everyone that's tucking theirs in a safe is missing out!

Its all I carry since purchasing, life is to short not to use it

I just got this custom Enrique Pena damascus diesel and its sick, action rivals any of my knives except my Frank Fischer Battle. It is like my RJ Martin Q36 on steroids. Super fast action with a lot of force. Perfect flipper

My EDC picture for today as well!

Definitely the 95T for me ;)
Though I have handled a Hati, and it was the best on washers that I've ever felt. Which I find important. I would rather have an excellent flipper on washers if I could than one on bearings. The 95T is just a little better knife for me in other areas :D

Othe knive might have a better action, but they are in too high of a price range for me to carry, and therefore too high for me to buy realistically. I would love to own an RJ. Will I? Probably not, because I could never go without carrying a knife that nice, and I would never want to beat up something worth that knid of money realistically. If I paid what RJ charges directly, I would carry one every single day without thinking about it for a second, but we all know that will never happen ;)

Oh, and on another kind of "flipper", yeah, that Replicant flips like no other ;) :D

Since you like the Reate, you really need to try the Stedemon Bastion. After it breaks in, may be the fastest of them all. Wide heavy knife but different, excellent flipping action. Jim Skelton does a YouTube on it...he was right!

I primarily collect flippers & have what most people consider some of the best.

This is just my opinion.
Flipping has 3 categories for me:

1. deployment speed
2. ease of deployment
3. feel/sound of deployment

I am lucky enough to have moved into the ultra rare collectible knives and either have or handle some of the impossible to gets.
Here is my top 6:

1. Frank Fischer Battle XL - This is the absolute best, anyone that I have let flip this knife have been jaw dropped. It can't not be fully deployed, its insanely fast and flips with massive recoil. The sound is like the Q36 on steroids and the force of the 0888 & Direware blade. Also the smoothest flipper I have. Has a strong detent and flipper tab geometry is perfect for easy deployment, this is added by a bolster lock so you never put pressure on the lock bar like some frame locks.

2. Andre Thorburn L51 - 2nd only to the fischer in speed & smoothness, sound is good with medium force. It is like an auto. the easiest deployment and perfect tab geometry. it is a liner lock

3. RJ Martin Q36 liner - so unique in its feel and sound. speed is just a little bit slower than the thorburn. medium deployment ease, tab is a little sharp, liner lock.

4. Shirogorov mod 95 w/ SRBS - smooth & fast with a unique mechanical feel. easy deployment, if you slip you will cut your finger as the blade sits high in the frame. Frame lock so you do have to watch your finger pressure, but its pretty good geometry.

5. ZT 0888 Composite - fast & powerful. has the 2nd most recoil behind the Fischer. medium deployment, frame lock so be careful with finger pressure

6. Reate Hills - This thing is pure speed. It may be the fastest flipper I have ever handled. medium deployment, frame lock have to be careful not to add too much pressure to lockbar.

If there is a particular flipper you are looking to get a feel for let me know, I got a lot of customs and only listed the top 6 I liked.

Hey bro,

Thanks for the suggestion, I've never heard of that knife, I'll look into it now.

Hands down the best flipper I own, beating out the Brous Bionic, ZT 0801, 0561, 0770CF.

Kizer Ki423:

These are my smoothest flippers. I would add the Hogue Ex-02 flipper not pictured though.

And for a cheapie that flips great..
