Note: These are not my posts, rather they are stellar posts from both Nathan and Kevin, reposted. They deserve all credit for this one. What follows is my picture supplement.

Holy cow! The only real time I've spent in Florida was drinking on a beach during spring break. I was really missing out on some amazing wildlife! You fellas really got some great photos and looks like you had a great time. I'll admit that I did get the chills from some of those critters, but wow, what an opportunity to see nature close up.
Question: how rare are the crocodiles? I know that the alligators have made a comeback but what about the crocs?
Awesome pics thanks for sharing. I made it down to the Glades for the first time last year and it is awesome and I am itching to get back down. Looks like you guys had a great time!
Fantastic post and pics. Thanks for sharing Joe. Some of those places look very familiar. A few years ago, I lived for about 5 months there. I absolutely hate beaches and the city life so I literally spent all my time in the glades. I tried to explore every inch of it. The sights and sounds of the glades at night are truly enchanting.
Cool pics. Too bad you didn't have the chance to run into one of the monster Eastern Diamondbacks that you occasionally see in South Florida........or maybe not Seeing three American Crocs in a lifetime, much less in any one place these days is pretty special.
Back in '80 or so, the future Mrs. and I took a trip to Disney. Stayed there one day, hated it and headed way, way south and have never looked back. Since then, we have spent many vacations exploring the Everglades and every trip has been special. It is an AWESOME place.

Amazing photos and a great story.
Please give our thanks to Kevin and Nate!
What kind of equipment do you guys use to take these photos.
I am looking for a new camera/lens set up and I would appreciate any advice that any of you guys have.
*sigh* I have to confess my envy. Back in my college days, some of my buddies and I would canoe the wilderness waterway over Christmas break. Ten day-long trips full of fishing, wildlife, camping and amazing scenery. I have wanted to go back ever since.
Those are great pics, and looks like a great time was had by all.
Nice to see the Neilson, BTW- J. makes some amazing stuff. Got any pics that show it better?
