Rescued from the asphalt rode, this bionicle led us on our journey to snakedom!

Classic retrofitting of the vehicle with spot lights, the day before the trip…sigh. Subaru came with flood lights, but they were just for the immediate area. I took them out (for sale!) and but in these spot lights, and re wired it to hold ….130 watts of light, each. That should do it. I then took the remaining wire and wired that into back up lights for passing the snakes.

What kind of equipment do you guys use to take these photos.
I am looking for a new camera/lens set up and I would appreciate any advice that any of you guys have.

They all had Canons, I think D40s.. The REALLY expenisive ones, and every lense under the sun. But they didn't have them for most of the time out in the field, only near the cars...
