Recommendation? Folding EDC 100-200$?

The Sage 5 is like a larger Chaparral CF/G-10 with a compression lock. I love the Chaparral, but if it's not for you, the Sage 5 is outstanding in its price range and has a very comfortable handle. For a little more money, the TRM Neutron is a great choice for light EDC if you can get one.

The way your talking about the TRM neutron doesnt seem likely I'll be able to grab one easily lol. But thanks I will check out the TRM and the chaparral

Damn... so the chaparral and sage 5 are lock back.

Spyderco lock backs are awesome. Very strong and can still be used one-handed.

If you really want a compression lock, and think the PM2 is too big or too scary, I think the Para 3 is the one for you.

Thanks everyone for the advise, this is what I'm getting !

Any reason not to buy one please tell me. Thank you

Sage 5 is a great choice. That or the Para 3 would both be excellent choices.

I like both back locks and compression locks. Both are strong locks. Compression lock knives are more fun to play with if you like fidgeting with your knives. Out of the three you mentioned, any one would be great. Just a matter of personal preference.

The Sage 5 is a great slicer, very thin behind the edge compared to most knives of similar size. The handle ergonomics are tough to beat. Construction quality is outstanding, the handle finish is classy and grippy, and the wire clip is great. Love that compression lock, too.

Yeh I like playing with my knifes lol. I think that's why I'm more drawn towards compression.

Anything you dont like about it ?

So many choices in this range it's hard to recommend anything specific. I'll second the suggestion look at Spyderco closely. People love the PM2. I find it a little too large to EDC (I work in an office).

Another option would be to be patient and buy a couple of different things used, preferable very used. You can likely get your money back on the knives you don't like and it allows you to get experience with a few different styles before spending on a new one. A used one may also be your keeper knife.

Thank you that's a great idea and that my prob with the pm2 to big for where I work.
