folding edc for about 90$

It's soley a full flat grind. Believe it or not, it slices much better than a regular saber grind. If you are a stickler for fit and finish aka quality, this will satisfy your requirements. The blades are all centered and they are sharp! Plus the carbon fiber is very classy and offers moderate grip. I'm sure you'd like it.

The Manix2 is an awesome knife as well. I've only had a couple with issues (mostly cosmetic) in the grinds were off, or the blade not being near center. The lock has been great on the CTS-XHP version I use. The Native is another really great knife. It's hard to pick, but once you get something, you can plan your next purchase.
yea, and being that i dont get alot of money from work planning on more purchases is motivation to work harder and better myself to move up and outward to make more money and be more successful.

You sound really young. Know what? When I was really young, I spent a lot of money on "cool" knives thinking they would make me cool.

Guess what? They didn't. There isn't a thing you can buy that will make you cool. Not even that hot car. Stuff is just stuff.

Don't worry too much about being cool, either. In fact, the less you worry about it, the more cool you are.

i am young im 18 (19 in july)
Dont get me wrong i dont want to look cool to other people, just in my mind everytime i take it out i wanna be like "wow i cant believe i own this"
But you are right too, i do worry about what ppl think, its hard not too being brought up the way the world is now. I try not to worry about what other people think because i know personality is more important then "coolness" but noone is perfect i guess.
I do try to not worry about it though, if you were like it when you were young the you know its a hard habbit to break. Espically since i was that odd kid out when i was in school (best day of my life was walking off graduation stage last june so much stress lifted)

Know what I'd do if I was you? I'd buy things that cost a LOT of money, but will increase in value exponentially over the next 30 or 40 years. Stuff like Randalls, anything in rare, exotic woods, guitars (even if you don't play). They're gonna be worth a ton of money down the line.

Now that's cool.;)

i kinda half ass play guitar and i have 2 pretty nice ones that everyone tries to get me to sell but i wanna hang onto, the 1 has already been discontinued and are hard to get a hold of now, a aria aw 75n (they were a like special verison of their cheap sub 300$ guitar and i got it used at a music shop when aria was doing really crappy in the us and their sales were going to hell for 250 and it was a real steal atleast i think so anyway.)

Save your money (I know — what a concept) and buy a Les Paul or a Strat. I'll guarantee they'll be worth about 40 times what you spent by the time you're my age.

Exotic handle materials. Stag, rosewood, amboyna, ebony. They're going the way of the Dodo Bird. They'll be worth real money some day.

And yes, elephant ivory too. I just bought this today:

It's legal today. Not cheap, but legal. Thirty years from now, it will literally be priceless.

One more piece of advice. Learn how to spell. And punctuate. And properly capitalize things. No matter what you think, people will judge you on how well you communicate. When you read what I write, you don't have to work at it. It just flows. That's because I put some effort into doing it right.

Nobody's going to take the time to read your "text-speak." Sure, I can put some effort in and make sense of it, but why should I? That's your job.

Sorry, I'm just so used to it from texting alot. I can try to work on that too, Thanks for the advice.

Benchmade 707 can be had through dealer for 10 Bucks over your goal w/ on site promo code. Axis is fun and blade has sweet grinds.

better yet go to a knife shop and handle these suggested or the ones you were thinking of
All the knives suggested are very good but are suited to the individual owners

They may or may not be suited for you

eg
I recently also posted for advice to choose between a Spyderco native an a BM Grip
Both are fantastic knives and both feel good, but after holding opening and closing, The BM grip felt like the knife for me :)

While you are looking at Benchmades, consider their small Bone Collector version - the #15030. With a -2, ie, a 15030-2, you'll get the walnut handled one, bottom - below. That same size knife in two-part green/black G10, like the large variant (15020-1 top, below) or a solid black G10 (no dash - not shown) is available, too. They have 2.95" x .115" and 3.36" x .125" blades of D2 steel with AXIS locks. A new variant, which I haven't seen yet, is the 15050 - with it's 3.75" x .13" thumb nick deployed lock back blade. I have the two shown - and they make very serviceable EDC knives - if the skull logo doesn't put you off! Sadly, even with the discount, they are about ten or twelve bucks over your limit.

My wife liked the small one above so much, she wanted one, too! It's almost always in her purse.

Para2 for $10 more, you won't be dissappointed, I know I wasn't and it was my first really good knife. And I've handled Benchmades Griptilian but I didn't like it. It wasn't sharp and felt cheap, the handles felt like plastic. The Blur is a better knife but I don't like the speedsafe or the recurve blade. I say get a better Spyderco and you'll be happy:D If u thought some of the cheaper Spydies didn't feel right the Griptilian won't either . And don't get me wrong I'll like some Benchmade stuff, I'm thinking about picking up the Adamas

i love how any time i ask for suggestions within a price range no matter what my range is people constantly suggest "its only slightly over your limit" if i was going over a limit i wouldnt have set 1 in the 1st place would i?

i definitly know there are plenty of knives way under 90 bucks that are 100% perfectly fine. i just wanted peoples first hand opinions on them because i dont live anywhere near a knife shop that sells anything like any of this stuff

it seems like you bump up your limit every couple days with a similar thread, who says you won't do it again :p

I can see 4 months from now....best edc for about 150$

I saw a native 5 in the for sale section the other day for $90. I'll see if I can find the link.

Whoops, it was bought.
