Folding equal to Mora?

Id vote Okapi
thicker more indestructible blade than an Opinel , cheaper ( here anyway ) , in my case more likely to be on hand because it takes up less pocket than my Opinel

Bladetech seems close to me, the grind anyway. I wouldnt really compare non-locking folders to a fixed blade mora. this is a good thread because there's really not many close comparisons that model a mora(folder-wise).I wish manufactures would offer scandi grinds or convex for that matter. If they would Just crossover more from the tactical sense moreoften. No wide blades with fancy shmancy swedges and choils to choke up on. And fuller more contored grips. I like some of the more gentalmen models like you see in AG Russell catalogs, but their usually lacking a one hand open func. or a clip. Love to hear more examples to a folding mora comparison ,or your thoughts related.

i carried a case trapper in CV for a while, then switched to an opinel #7 for a while, and have yet to turn back. the opinel is really great, in terms of pure cutting power and in terms of a great deal. one of the things i like about the opinel is all the blade you get in such a small package. alot of folders have blades that are quite a bit shorter than the handle, but with the opinel i find myself wondering how the whole blade fits into the handle so nicely.

the locking-closed thing is also nice, for when you drop the knife or other things...and the round handle really feels good in hand. when i went to use my trapper again yesterday, i found the handle very boxy and thin. it made it a little hard to hold onto.

SAKs are also very good deals, especially the thinner, simpler models. alot of bang for the buck, and they have enough tools to fix just about anything.

one more vote for the humble opinel its a lot of knife for ten times the money like the mora little flash huge performance
