Thats hilarious. You always hear that “I need a wood stretcher” thrown around. But I’ve never heard it described as a contraption with pulleys and ropes. LOL.
(Everyone knows it’s more of a levering bar.)

We always called it a stud stretcher. And it was kept next to the sky hooks.

I fell for it! Knew NOTHING about carpentry in '01 and my boss sent me to the trailer for the board stretcher. It was my second or third day so I didn't think, just did as I was bid. Fifteen minutes later.... "i can't find it Mike". To the chorus of laughter from my coworkers... hahaha. But I've gotten several newbies with it since then so I'm fully redeemed! Too funny.
And we always joked about it being next to the skyhook too. Lol.

You folks might think it is a joke, but I DO have a board stretcher. Not the easiest thing to come by, but what a time saver. I only have to measure once before I cut.
