Food & Traditional Knives

I had lunch today at one of my favorite places from back in college, Hugo’s in Fayetteville, AR. Simple food — we had burgers, fries, a couple beers — but they do a fantastic job.

The nachos would have been more than enough food on their own, but the place is supposed to be known for their tamales, so I couldn’t pass them up. 😁

How do you rate that hot sauce Barrett? It's widely available here (I have some, but haven't tried it yet) 👍

It’s been a while since I’ve had it, Jack. You see it on the table at a lot of Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants here. If I remember correctly, it’s pretty mild but tasty, and along the same lines as Tapatio, Valentina, etc.

They had a nice selection of house-made salsas at the place we ate. We had a Hatch green chile salsa, their red house salsa, and one they called “Devil’s sauce,” which was described on the menu as “super spicy” but was really more like “slightly spicy” (it did taste good, though). The Hatch green chile salsa was my favorite. You can see them a little better in this photo.

LOL! Yeah, there looks to be a lot of good eating there! 😁👍

Thanks for the information Barrett 🙂 I'll give it a try, when I eventually work my way through all the other chilli sauces I have open! 😁👍

Bunches of grapes fresh from the vine on our backyard fence a week ago; I'll eat grapes of various colors and enjoy their various levels of tartness.

Some of those same grapes sorted, rinsed, and ready to be packaged to take with us on our vacation:
