Food & Traditional Knives

Last night(friday) we had dinner last night for my daughter's boyfriend turns 21 tomorrow. Well the wife wanted to get him something to keep can you guess what I suggested??...well to my shock she agreed. I got him a deluxe tinker. Well anyway the wife made a carrot & walnut cake.

I was going to have pasta tonight, then I spotted a tempting chicken & mushroom pie in the fridge :) I was going to have it with roast potatoes and sweetcorn, but my super slicey BPS Savage got carried away when I was cutting the potatoes, so I had to improvise! :D Should have made a Spanish omelette! 🤣

Jack, I'm so NOT on a diet that I rarely have a chance to take a photo of my food before I enthusiastically devour it! o_O :p

(I guess I AM on a diet regarding spaghetti and meatballs, since I can't remember the last time I ate that particular "delicacy".)

Here's 2 shots of the sort of oatmeal "casserole" I make every other morning, and split into two servings so I can cook one day and eat two days. The pictures happen to be from my August vacation.
Here's the "double batch" right out of the microwave:

Here's the same food divided into 2 servings. I ate what was left in the bowl, adding some home-grown grapes, and put the other half, in the storage container, in the fridge for the next day.

I admire your ability to digest that…

If I ate that much fiber every morning, you could forget about just grumbling - my guts would outright mutiny. I might need to carry a knife with one of those spikes they use for cow bloat 😵‍💫 🤣.

I was on a diet...
Your quote snapped me out of that nonsense for the weekend though.
Steak was just a bit overcooked though.

LOL! :D I was supposed to be making carbonara with bacon, but I didn't like the appearence of the bacon I'd picked up in the supermarket  So meatballs had to stand in! :D ;)

Called in a cafe, in a neighbouring town, for a second breakfast ;)
