For me, it was the Leek. How did you get turned on to Kershaw?

I was the typical uninformed knife shopper picking out Gerber Paraframes and low end Buck knives at my local Walmart before I lucked into my Skyline. At that time I thought I was shelling out WAY to much money paying $35.00 for a knife. If I had only known what type of addiction that knife would cause... Since then I've bought the: Leek, Chill, Zing, OD-1, Select Fire, OD-2, Ram, Brawler, and Knockout (along with other manufacturers, but far more Kershaws).

My name is Ryan and I have a problem...

my first was a clash then a tremor. that led too a skyline and a blur and my new fav. the tension all in the past year!! some people do crack or heroin i do knives lol!!

My first kershaw was a zt. I had seen great reviews of all the zt products when a zt 0400 came up on the exchange at a steal. Still thought I was paying way too much for a knife. That zt 0400 began my addiction to zt/kershaw and has led to thE purchase of many other more expensive zt products.

Storm 2 had a few years, lost it so I grabbed a blur. Then later on got another blur, and then got 14 more, the list goes on

My first was a Chiv many years ago even before I was really into knives. It was fast and really sharp straight out of the package. I didn't like the recurve for sharpening very much but loved the knife. I carried it for a year or two and then got a Leek it was also great but the tip was to delicate for me. I now carry a Skyline for most tasks and have my first ZT on the way to me now.

My first Kershaw was probably a decade ago and it was a plain edge BlackOut I picked up at Wally World.

My dad. He only bought Kershaw. He gave me my first knife 27 years ago it was a Kershaw. I hadn't owned one for almost 16 years I've tried just about every other folder striders sabenzas hinderer and customs and cheep. All are gone except my 0651 in my pocket and my dad's old Kershaw in a box at home. I've realized if I need a good pocket knife I'm sticking to Kershaw the costoms and striders and Chris Reeves are cool and kick ass but if Kershaw was good enough for my dads pocket it should be more than good enough for my pockets

A 1431 G10 Wild Wild Turkey was my first Kershaw, and I still carry it once in a while (it shows a bit of wear and tear, that's for sure!), and it turned into 50+ unique Kershaw model numbers (I do have a few duplicates). I have another (a grey JYD) on the way to me from KershawGuy as I write this (sure am looking forward to handling it!).

My first was the 1830 OSO Sweet. I ended up losing it and when I needed to replace it, I decided to look at other Kershaw knives.

Half Ton. I figured if they can build such a quality knife and make it that affordable, then their other stuff must be good too.

The Scallion. I bought it in the summer of 2002 and have been buying Kershaws ever since.

I've been in to knives since I was about 10. I got my first Swiss Army knife and that kicked of my habit. Before I bought Scallion, I knew very little about quality knives. I had owned several Buck, Schrade, and Gerber knives and had an ever expanding array of SAKs. In June 02, I went to a local sporting good store and was browsing. I had read about Ken Onion's speedsafe designs, but didn't really know anything about Kershaw. I was about to buy a Spyderco Dragonfly (I had already taken the clamshell off the rack) when I spotted the Scallion on the rack next to it. I like the lines of the Scallion better and thought I wouldn't mind trying out this new "assisted opening" feature I'd read about, so I put the Dragonfly down and picked up the Scallion. And I've never looked back.

I did eventually buy a Spyderco (quite a few of them actually) and I've also owned several Benchmades. I've sold most of them over the years though. My Kershaws are the one brand I've never been able to sell. I've given 2 Scallions, a Chive, a Blackout, an aluminum Leek, and a mini Mojo, and a well worn Avalanche as gifts to friends over the years. After 10 years of collecting and carrying Kershaw, I can honestly say they'll always be my favorites; although, I continue collecting SAKs alongside them..

It was a Leek for me too.A combo edge S30V/G10 Leek.I wish i still had that knife.

Grey JYD 2 as an early birthday present from my mom. Then two G10 Needs Work's, Then an 0300, the rest is history.

Bought a Vapor on sale at Cabelas because I needed a new knife and it seemed priced right at the time. Then I showed up here and joined the "Show me your Blur" thread and saw the purple. I've been hooked ever since. My latest additions to the Kershaw pool are a Piston and a Knockout is on the way. Still waiting for the Echelon to be available at a more "reasonable" priced outlet. I currently have 10 Leeks, 26 Blurs, 2 Pistons, and 10 ZT 0350s.

Looks like that Chive has seen some work

Kershaw Amphibian.
One of the cooler, better made boot knife/dagger variants, especially the older model.:)

I found a Vapor in 2004. Never really carried it because I'm left handed.

Last Christmas, Amazon had a deal to get Leeks for $24.99 shipped. I got my son one. He carries it every day.

I'm waiting for the Cryo. I'm still a Benchmade guy but if the Cryo works as well as it looks that may change.

For me it was my Kershaw Centofante - it is a great little knife and I think I'll carry it tomorrow thanks to this thread -
