For Our Brave Men And Women In The Armed Forces...

From my own military days and according to interviews with those on the sharp end currently, "Mail is heaven." Those deployed far from home hunger for and value those bits of paper to remind them that people here care about them, pray for their well-being, and that their efforts on our behalf are neither in vain nor unappreciated by those of us who remain here.

If someone in your community has family member(s) deployed, get that serviceman's or servicewoman's military address and write them. They may not know you, but your letters will be deeply appreciated. Your words have the power to provide them a sustenance and will to perservere in the distant and drear places where they stand for us all.

Jerry and all,

I wholeheartedly echo these and other sentiments and wish for the quick return of all who are putting forth everything they have to protect this country.

As for myself, I've been recalled to active duty for a year to assist in training soldiers at the Military Police School at Ft Leonard Wood, MO. I'm proud to be a part of this effort in my small part, imparting my almost 20 years of experience to those just starting in the defense of this country, doing what I can to keep them safe by jamming as much experience into them as I am able to do in the short time we have to train them.

May this come to a swift and definitive conclusion.

Thanx,

Oh, and having alot of Busse's and Swamp Rat's sure helps maintain one's confidence!
