I was noticing the same... I haven't frequented the for sale section in quite awhile. Then I take a peek in search for a particular knife and notice every thread wants Paypal F&F, when I could swear that used to be frowned upon... I understand how the laws have changed, so I get it. It really makes feedback (and account age) a vital tool to look at when buying. Probably going to be hard for new sellers to get in on the action as a result.
I think a lot of buy/sell action occurs on Reddit now, as they have a very active userbase there. If I wasn't too old to figure out how to post there I would use it too.
And pricing... I don't care if your knife was a safe queen, its secondhand. if I can buy it new from any retailer for $5 more than your asking price... Why would I take the risk to buy it here?
My buying has transitioned mostly to the bay auction site. Large pool of stuff to look at, and occasionally you get a steal if you know what you are looking for. And there is buyer protection.
