Photos For the love of Lockbacks! (Traditionals only)

It's worth seeing twice, or I'd go back and check.😁

I hope Misplaced Hillbilly Misplaced Hillbilly is OK. Last seen September 8.

Sabre made in China.

I'm alive, and doing pretty good. I'll post an update on myself and Joyana soon. Thanks for being concerned about me.

My most recent lockback addition - a 50th Anniversary Buck 112.

I previously bought the finger groove version of this knife.

My Boker lockback is my user and a bit smaller with 2.75" blade, and the white bone covers are beautiful in person. Well made, apparently in Germany, with nice fit and finish. The OP here now has one of these as well.

2023 a year without lockbacks... till now

Don't see a lot of Gerber's around here lately either. Here's a nice sensible knife. Light (1oz.), thin, sharp, tough and all in only a 3 5/8" package. Very pocketable.
Anyone else got a nice lock-back that needs showin' ?

Edit to reflect updated info.

Difficult to get the covers right.
They are "Hunter Green" or (non-metallic) "British Racing Green"; not black.

same length as the venerable Buck 110 and Schrade 5OT/7OT/LB7/LB8, but half the thickness (mark to pile) and around half the weight.(4.321 ounce, according to my digital reloading scale.)
I am not sure, but I think the blade isn't stainless steel.

Don't see a lot of Gerber's lately either, especially like this one since it has been discontinued. A nice, sensible knife, Practical not tactical. A light, thin, sharp, tough and all in only a 3 5/8" package. So pocketable.

I didn't realize it had been discontinued :(
A nice inexpensive made-in-the-USA knife

when searching for it using the model # I got all kinds of erroneous info
Having found it is called the US1 I found it still available
I also learned it's described as 420HC and only 1 ounce.

Edit: a bit more surfing and I've discovered dealers calling it "US1" have them available, sorry🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️
last time I post anything I've read online... at least until I've read it in several sources.

Thanks Mike.

If I had to pick a big old lockback, It would be something from the the Camillus line up. Nice flat grind with a thinner edge. Cool pattern shape.

I've had a beat up regular 110 since high school and like the Camillus much more. This one isn't all that cool with the bulbus advertising covers, but it's a good knife for sure.

I'm glad that it hasn't been discontinued. I got mine last year as a package deal with a mini-minimag flashlight and was impressed with it. I had written Gerber off as another American company who was a name only for off shore produced stuff.
Besides, if you read it on the internet, it must be true, eh? :p
