Excellent fit and feels great...I love the RC5 but I use the RC6 more(fishing & Camping the RC6 has more utility to it for me) so I just swapped scales.

Dude, you suck.

Er, umm, I mean. . .cool.Grumble. Grumble. Now I have to buy an RC5 to swap scales.

Where'd you get the SAK/firestarter sheath?

:D The scales to the RC5 & 6 are Identical...

I had a buddy custom fit it for me and it holds my Favorite SAK " Hiker " and scout fire steel,I can remove it and wear it as a necker sheath as well:thumbup:

Very nice! I'm curious, what type of braid did you use for the paracord? I can't quite figure out how you did it.

Kinda hard to explain since I am practicing braiding, watching Hoods dvd,he made a belt out of paracord with simple loops with in loops and so on and if needed a simple tug on the end and you can reel off as much paracord as needed, now mine is not as tightly woven as Mr.Hoods was in the dvd but it works great, what you see is about 8ft in OAL but unwoven is closer to 50-60ft of paracord.I am going to tighten the weaves and shorten it up a bit

Hmm, interesting. I'll have to check out some of his DVD's, it seems like a really nice braid to carry a large amount of paracord. I'm getting back into braiding paracord, so I'm looking for any excuse to wrap/cover/whatever anything I can. :D

I prefer Canvas micarta over the Linen and I use my RC6 more than the RC5 and thought I would swap 'em ...and the main reason I tried it is I am having Jeff Law (AKA:Rainwalker)build me a tandem leather sheath to house my RC6 & RC3MIL and now the Scales match :D

It's time for accessory scales, no more excuses.:) I would love to put green canvas micarta on my green RC-3 and 4. The only reason I don't own an RC-6 is because of the sheath(I don't live in the desert, I'm not heading for a desert and my gear is all green) and the black linen scales. Replacing the sheath is possible ($$) but the panels are a tall order.

The sheath is keeping you from buying and RC6 ?? never heard that one before...all my Gear is Green as well but I do have a Green Spec-ops sheath to toss it in if needed I guess... but I do like the factory because of like I did added some kydex to hold a SAK & Fire steel...option are limited by your Imagination only with the RAT Sheaths:D

The sheath AND the panels. I've got a RAT-7 that has been serving me well for some time. I'd like to get a RC-6 eventually but until it doesn't have two features I don't care for I'll wait.:)
