Does Maxpedition still make a "M1"? I really like the size of that pouch, but can't seem to find it on their website. Does it go by anther name, OR has it been discontinued for a newer model?

about a $5-$10 difference between the 420 & S30v model . I almost gave it away since I could not find a use for the Tiny & I mean tiny barely useable knife for me....until the idea of using it as my Striker came into play....

Sorry Tony, I thought it was an M1 from your pictures. Longknife, the M5 is a bigger M1. I find the M1 (and M2) a good size for a belt pouch, the M5 looks good for a little extra room :thumbup:

No problem..... I braided a shoulder sling for it in od green paracord after I took these pics,I carry 25-30ft orange paracord in the M-5 and the shoulder sling I made is 20ft. doubled over into a 10ft section and braided like the other it the earlier pic....pretty neat :D

Your welcome....I could shave a few ounces by leaving out the mag/ferro rod and the mini bic since my fire basics are covered with matches,RAT fire kit and Bic but I had the room and getting a fire is kinda important... but then I get into a mode of if I move this I can add that and next thing you know I am packing my Devil dog or Pygmy Falcon II
 
Tony, what kind of attachment holds your buck striker to the RAT firekit? It looks really solid.
