For Your Urban/E&E Kit or BOB - Bogota Entry Tools

That looks awesome, I've secretly always wanted to learn how to pick locks. ever since playing those damned video games (fallout)

WOW ! A real eye opener on locks, especially the thread on garage doors on ITs Tactical's site. Going to invest in some Bogota picks and shore up my garage. Tks for all the insite.

Read the last page or two last pages of the thread discussing the strangest thing you have in your survival kit. :)

Not all, but most desk locks and cash drawer locks are low to medium security disc tumbler locks and are a lot easier to pick than pin tumbler locks which you will encounter on a house's deadbolt and/or doorknob. They both fall to the same tools but the actual mechanisms are different.

I get where you are coming from with my comment about not wanting to try my house because it was too cold. I just wasn't willing to go out in sub zero temps for my first try. Maybe with more practice...

As far as the simple locks go, I understand. It was my first time it was just cool. I am actually looking a little bit into locksport, it's right up my alley. :)
