Forced patina question. (New pics added)

I have been toying with temperatures as well. Heat does activate faster.

but more interested in the different colors and how to control it better.

blood makes color while acids make dark...
 
I used green Rit dye and vinegar on a blade that had my fingerprints on it. The (green!) fingerprints are now etched into the blade.

Very weird, yet cool. :)
 
I stuck this Case sodbuster jr. CV in an apple and left it there for a while. You can see where it bisected a seed.

 
I don't know if you'd call it forced or not, but I try to use this knife whenever I need to slice fruit. So it's earned in the sense that it is from normal cutting tasks, forced in that I went out of my way to cut up apples, strawberries, oranges, and bananas with it and didn't immediately wipe the juices off.
