forged 5160 and ironwood

Just finished this'en up, hope the photo's will due till I get my photo tent,

Specs: 8 3/4'' o.a., cutting edge approx 4 3/8''.

Forged down from new 3/4'' round stock. It has been triple edge quenched and tempered 2x's.

The blade is a full flat grind, it was hand sanded down to 800grit on a granite plate, then polished.

The handle is contoured ironwood burl, and there are red spacers , (but them pics were even worse) and the pins are 1/8'' peened nickle silver.

Price is $155 includes sheath and shipping

Great lines on this knife Andrew! I especially like the way the choil and finger guard blend together. And the sculptured handle is great too. Beautiful design. You must have been an art major.

Can you tell me how thick the blade is on this sweet knife? I love the ironwood handles, they look great.
 
just under 3/16'' and tapered towards tip, and about 1'' wide at choil. here's a few more shots, though not the best pics.

the tang also has a slight taper
