Forged for the first time today....

I think I'm just gonna do what Rick Marchand did and make a post anvil from the 4x4 from old world anvils

My post anvil is 4 x 4 x 18" long. Burried in concrete and rebar in a 6" dia thick walled pipe. The whole think weighs about 200 lbs

Ok well mine won't be nearly as beefy. I've thought about buying the stake anvil from old world anvils and making that work

Even though I found an anvil a while back, I think I might do this as well. I don’t use the horn much, mainly for drawing out, but I’m still a beginner at forging.
Also every time I run my thigh into the horn sonuva*#%$

I think maybe a 6x6 face would be better but what do I know lol I'm currently using a 3in diam 4140 rod and it's just too dang small
