Forged Trade Knife

I made this one maybe a year ago or so. Its forged 01 steel. I made it from a rod of 01 steel 1/2" in diameter. Its a partial tang knife. The handle is lacewood, with blue g-10 and fibre spacers. Its almost 9" long with a 4.5" blade.

The price is right because the front pin is a tad off center. Not badly.

Andy that lacewood is beautiful. Did you say that knife is a 1/2" thick?

Oh. No its ~1/8" thick. I forged it from a 1/2" diameter rod of 01 steel.

Fun times forging from rod.

Andy this arrived on Mon. and has now become a fixture in the kitchen. Love the handle shape and stack work with the lacewood and g-10. Put a mustard patina on it and oiled the wood up some more. Super nice knife and sharp as "H###" VERY NICE WORK!!
