This one is forged from an older drop forged USA wrench. Don't know exactly what the steel is, but it sure forged well and went through heat treat like 5160. It's not just "different", it cuts as well as any I make. I put it through some serious cutting tests before finishing the handle and it did what a good knife should do. The handle is lacewood with brass pins and the wrench is 1 1/8" if you need it. Spec's are:
AOL: 8 7/8"
Blade: 3" to ricasso
Width: 7/8"
Thickness: 1/8"
Handle: Lacewood, brass pins
Price: $110 includes sheath and shipping CONUS. PayPal, check or money order.SOLD

That's just cool...and good looking too!!!

If I had more money to throw around I'd order a pair, a skinner and a drop point with the skinner using the open end of the wrench and the drop point using the closed. (Thought I'd throw that idea at ya.)

How's that thing balance? I like heavy knives, but like them slightly blade heavy or balanced a worst.

If I ever get my stuff into this I'll have to try this idea. (I think taking the handle off an old chisel and reworking the blade into a knife...then putting the original or similar handle back one would make a cool knife as well...if the metal took the whole process and you don't need a cheap chisel;) )

I actually have another wrench hunter with the open end. Shoot me an email if you'd like to see it. The balance on this one is at the second finger. Makes it somewhat blade light. Next project is a full set from 3/8" to 1" with the same handle material. Fun stuff to do mixed in with regular orders. Chisel idea is a good one, too. May have to try it! Thanks.

Mark,

Heh, heh, I felt kinda bad for that young fella, but not near bad enough to take the $8.
See ya,
Rick

This one's sold. Thanks Ben!
I think the 1 1/8" would work fine on a beer bottle, but may have to do some in depth research to be sure.

Very nice and interesting!

Rick's sheaths are something else and that one looks like another masterpiece :)
