I gotta say, this is about the only forum that I have been to, that I actually enjoyed and wanted to stick around. You all are great! I have enjoyed reading all the comments and threads on a surprisingly vast array of subjects (surprising for a "knife" forum). Good to be here!

I haven't posted much since joining in '07 but I agree that the RAT area is the place. Great discussions covering a wide variety of useful topics. Many of the knife forums I have been on previously have been geared towards only selling and reviewing the owner's knives without allowing the mention of a single competitor's blades.
The RC blades and even some of the Ontarios have been in my collection for some time now and I have had no problem whatsoever referring friends and co-workers to their site and this board.
This really is a place that will get you to "stick around".

The RAT forum really has been a great place to talk/learn about RAT knives and most other things survival related. It's great that you can talk and see pics of other members RAT blades, bug out bags, survival kits, shelter building experiences, outdoor adventures, and so on. When someone posts a new thread everyone is quick to jump in, answer any questions or comment on their posting. It really is the best community around.

iam a newbie, but it's not just about what iam learning here. at 51 i've become a little leary of north american products. so after doing a lot of research i ordered a rc4 from
workwear canada, paul turned out to be a great guy to deal with. the knife was way beyond what i expected quality wise. so i now have a rc4, a izula, and a fire kit.
great company, great dealers, and great products. this forum and the people here are the icing on the cake. thanks again.

agreed with all above. have learned some things here and gotten some great ideas already and only been hangin a short time. was a lucky bugger that my pops was an avid outdoorsman and didnt have issues with a girl going hunting or shooting. in fact he insisted i learn to shoot and handle myself outdoors. at 51 ya start thinking ya know a few things but ive learned here already. i know im new here and u guys are still checking me out(no ones given me any shit yet so i figure yr stilling trying to figure out who the hell i am) but i wanna say thanks for being here and answering ?s and sharing so much of yrselves. happy holidays. peace

You know i got mad love for you guys in here Its like a family, everyone has peeps in their fam that are just misrable sacks of crap but they are still fam and you treat them as such; same goes for most in here.
I havent forgot that psk you sent me coffee; I carry it everyday. I made you a big blue bowl on the pottery wheel, had a class of students i was teaching glaze it for me. lol so it looks kind of rough but i think you will like it...i just got to send the sucker.
