Folksy gang,

Sorry I have not been up to speed lately. I am preparing to switch jobs and trying to wrap up a lot of stuff at once. I will be on and off.

I will update the list this evening.

I have been monitoring the responses and am prepared to say that, barring and wild dispute, we will go with the medium stockman, stag handles, plain rounded bolsters, with a moderate blade etch. We will proceed with the 1095, knowing the outcome of a non stainless steel (and many of us looking forward to it)

We will proceed with Northwoods as they have expressed the willingness to produce the desired knife. That being said, I will also draft a letter to Canal Street thanking them for their past role and their response this year. Eric, I will ask you to proof the letter as I understand that you have developed a relationship with the shop. I want to leave the door open for them in the future.

If you are in favor, vote yes, opposed, vote no.

I would like to set the money deadline for the end of April. Once it is secure, I will place the deposit. I will place the money in a seperate account and post public accounting within the thread as time goes buy.

When the actuall price plus shipping is set, I will post a thread with instructions and a running list of payments recieved. Please use a USPS money order and save your receipt. I will record the serial numbers on the spreadsheet I have that contains the names and mailing info.

Thanks to all that have been very encouraging and supportive. This has been a pleasant and rewarding process.

You guys know what you want...go for it.

Rust never sleeps, and patina is another name for rust.....have enough of a hard time keeping khukuris "patina free" as it is.

:thumbup:Go ED!!! I'm in and thanks for all the time and effort you have put in on this project.:D

I am looking for more details on the price, also how much is needed to be put on deposit? If the price is more than I can expect to come up with is the deposit returnable?
Lots of questions but I am still new here and I like the idea of a limited run knife made for the Forum.

yes, I'm in for one!

Thanks, Ed.
