My sentiments exactly. I don't care for stag handles that have half of the bark ground off.

Just caught up on this thread. Thanks for the photo updates, skblades ! The covers look great!

This thread also prompted me to check the shipping address on my order. I couldn’t remember if the order process took place before or after we moved earlier this summer. (We already had to retrieve an auto-shipped order of dog food from the new tenants at the house we were renting before.)

(Thankfully the shipping address on my order was our new address.)

Yikes! That's cutting it pretty close. It might be best to let the forwarding process handle it just in case they ship earlier than expected. You might not want it to ship to your new address if you haven't moved in there yet.

I hate to admit it but I had never even owned a Buck knife before this project began.

Same here and really didn't know what to expect, although wanted a BF 2018 knife. Elk looks amazing and now I'm going to have to dig in and research the pattern and Buck in general.

Here we have long pulls started as well as the Buck Stamp. These are purely for testing of the steel! Once the stamping is approved, then the blades can go into production.
