Forum Knife Updates and comments

Steven, is the child you're expecting due in November? Just wanting to know. Preston

No sadly, no knives in hand. But with several hundred going out, we want to have our boxes and labels prepped for the mad rush!
Big job. I hope you have some help with that. I would help if I lived in your area. I know human nature with the "mad rush", but I would do it very deliberately and not really rush the final steps before shipping. Pick me out an interesting knobby one. ;)

Exactly why we are getting started early. Several address changes, slip additions and such that need special attention not to be missed.

SKblades, congrats and how exciting!

Maybe next year the dealer that handles the forum knife should give slightly misleading timelines so by the time people start getting anxious the knives begin showing up in the mail!

Was seriously having an anxiety attack waiting for this to arrive. But then I remembered this distance cousin - twice removed for legal reasons, on my brother's side. Anyway he works for Buck, or at least he says he does, and he was able to 3D print me out 4 of the little beauties last month. They look and feel great. Almost thinkin' I could have saved the order fee but that's ok, I guess 5 knives ain't so bad either. Will be curious to see how the shop made one compares to my 3D printed ones. :D

Yes! Little Charlotte is set to arrive Nov 7. Hopefully she holds out until then.
Congratulations on the impending new arrival. As it happens, our twin great granddaughters were originally scheduled for November 7. But, being twins it got a little crowded in there. They were born by C-section on October 17, and have been in the nursery at the hospital since. Granddaughter and great granddaughters (Aspen and Tinley, hereafter known as Apricot and Tangerine by great grandpa-whatever happened to the names we grew up with?) are all doing fine.

Almost forgot to add that I'm also waiting for this years forum knife. I don't always buy one, but the Buck offering this year got me excited enough to order two. This one looks like it might just replace the 2013 version in my pocket. Thanks to everyone who put themselves out for us this year. Especially since the main driver of this years offering is expecting to become really, really busy early next month.

Is it too late to change my address without causing you trouble? We just moved and I'm a bit nervous about the forwarding from the USPS. Thanks, OH

Congrats on the new arrival! It sounds as if it's going to be your first child.. There is nothing like being a Dad!
