Ok guys, after drudging through this thread here's my thoughts.

I would like to see an Izula or RC-3.

For an RC-3, I was thinking:

No serrations (not everyone likes them but anyone can use a plain edge).

Modified pommel (just my personal prefrence).

Stock sheath, just to keep the cost down. Perhaps a different color. Like the brown of the RC-6 or black.

Jeff, shoot me down if I'm wrong, but couldn't we do a non stock color combo, like black blade/orange handles or green blade/canvas handles? Make them unique.

The Izula would just be a standard color but everyone loves an Izula.

As for artwork, I like the ESEE logo with RAT PACK above it and RP number below.
Plain edge with black blade with orange handles.

I like that idea. I'd like to see an RC-4 with a green or black blade and canvas handle slabs.

My name is Daniel Alves. Rio has a lot of poor people in that area, a lot of homeless kids. My aunt and uncle tell me those homeless kids that run around would cut a tourist's finger off if they had a gold ring on it. I remember the beaches how nice the beaches were and the beautiful women in little bikinis... Meu Deus, a minha filha, chega ca', toma um beijo!!

yeah, it's too bad that rio has became so violent, but the natural resources (nature and women) are just beautiful. hahaha and there's lots of other places to visit here in brazil that are just as nice and not so dangerous.
abraços!

and back to the topic
just a 440C satin finished izula with the ESEE logo and rat pack and number would be just perfect. simple and pretty. and ill be part of the rat pack in a few more posts. hahaha

I think that to forgo the stainless would be folly, as it's the only way to venture into uncharted territory without going through the roof in terms of the complexity of the operation. :)

Correct, we can do any combination of handle material or color that is in our current line.

I would love a RC-4 with a black blade and red G10 handles with gray liners with a fire bow spindle inset and a logo cut into the handle scales and the R.A.T.Pack # ect. on the blade.I hope it`s ok for me to butt in not being in the R.A.T.Pack .

How about a run of uncoated blades. Engrave a small number on the handle scale with a serial number.

Dropping the coating might reduce the cost also, or at least offset the cost of engraving.

I would love the knife to be the RC3, plain edge, round ponnel. I think black blade with tan micarta handle slabs and tan sheath would look great.

I'm in for one. The stainless Izula would be a nice option if it were an option!
Otherwise I'd like an RC-3 or RC-4. I've got the RC-6 and at this point don't have much use for the RC-5.

I think it's safe to rule out anything too different. Stainless, as cool as it would be, not gonna happen. New colors, not gonna happen.

So we have:Blade

Black

Green

Tan

Handles:

Canvas

Linen (different color liners out of the question Jeff?)

Orange G-10

Sheath:

Black

Brown

Green (standard color)

I think that covers our options at this point for an RC-3.

Izula would just be engraved on a standard color.

I assume you could mold an Izula sheath in any of those colors as well but a brown or green Izula sheath might end up with some ugliness due to the varied thicknesses of the molding. Swirls of color and whatnot.

I'm down with Black/Orange or OD/linen handles on whatever knife.

Just to break the rules might I suggest an OD RC4 in 1/8" stock with the MIL linen handles. YUM!

One thing we have been considering is a releasing a line of 440C Stainless knives. Maybe we can kick off the line with the forum knife being the first batch?

You sure stainless is out of the question?

Also how about a OD green RC-4 with canvas micarta handles, sorta like the RC-5
