I was thinking more along the lines of an aftermarket special sheath. That way those that wanted a special sheath for their special knife could order it from the Leather bender.

Hey, if someone wants to find a leather guy that can do a run of sheaths specially and is willing to sell the sheath direct to the customer, then we will be more than happy to supply just the blade.

There are plenty of aftermarket options for the end user. That would have nothing to do with the manufacture of the knife. We can individually choose what we like later on.

The reason I said "Ugh-oh" was I mentioned something earlier about a sheath unique to the project and got quickly denied. It was just a thought.
 
But I thought you wanted us to make that special sheath, and that's why I veered away from that one.
 
I think simple is the way to go. I'd be happy to have any of the great knives with the rat pack # on it. (it would have to atleast say "Rat Pack" on it).
 
ohhhh we are doing pet names too, sweet! Ok add "Berserker my beloved hound dog" on the side of the blade adjacent to "If it aint RAT it aint right" on my pink blade rainbow handled RC3.

Can we maybe add some hearts or something too.


ETA: I forgot, Can I add my pet ducks name to that too, "Lieutenant Dan" . Thanks!

Understood completely!
I was not originally trying to make it any more complex, but later realized the knife is the priority here!:D

That idea of a seperate vendor offering something entirely seperate could work without jammin' up the knife specs.:thumbup:

Maybe after it is all planned that could be a second brainstorm!

That 440C idea is a nugget of wisdom! We should be running with that! Imagine finding a stash of original Westinghouse Micarta for these 440C blades! Hmmmmmm...........

So, does that mean that my red/black tiger stripe Izula hawkbill in CPM3V with custom kydex/leather sheath with firesteel loop and drop leg, with boot clip/teklok option may not ever see the light of day?:(

could this be our opportunity to get a folder or a chopper if we vote on it, or does it have to be something already in the RAT lineup?
 
how about a (440C) stainless izula satin finish. but hey, i don't post here very often so im no rat.
too bad, i would love to be but i don't own any rat knives yet. that izula would be a nice way to start!
 
One doesn't need a RAT knife to be a RAT. They let me hang out here for a long time before I finally got my first RAT knife. Pull up a chair and stay a while.
 
hey CRR, the problem is i needed to post here often and I do almost all my posting in the W&SS, all I can post here is how I wish I had a RAT knife. haha.
but hey, with this conversation here im 2 posts closer to being one. but that's not fair, I have to contribute more to actually earn the RAT status.
well, maybe someday.
 
I think the Izula or RC-3 would be the ideal knife to make into the RAT Pack forum knife.

Number them 1-XXX and match up the production # to the RP#, coloring could be whatever.

Now we just need to come up with a logo. Design a logo thread maybe? ;)
