Dear Nathan,
I received my field knife.
WOW.
I had to take some time and really try to put into words the beauty of this knife. It all started when I saw it, it is just a beautiful knife, when I was holding it a couple of my friends were just with their mouths a little open and completely in silence lol. I have to tell you, you are a master at what you do! I am so grateful to be able to have such a masterpiece in my possession!
I have started using it, and it is just a unique experience to really feel how comfortable the knife feels! No fatigue on the had after long periods of use, the weight is just perfect, the balance is exactly what I needed! And let me tell you, I own several knives (most of them are kitchen oriented--very VERY sharp) but this field knife is way sharper that I thought it was going to be. Well, yes, of course I saw your video and everything, but when you have it in your hands and start testing for sharpness I am just absolutely impressed and overwhelmed at how ridiculously sharp it is!! Oh, and at 62 HRC, this baby holds its edge like boss!!
I want to sincerely thank you for your work, and for giving us the opportunity at having in our hands the result of so many years of research, development, work, love, and experimentation! This field knife I got is, by far, hands down, hat off, my favorite knife. Period.
The only thing I regret is not having the money at the time to buy one of the shivs! haha
Thank you so much for the knife, and if anyone in this forum is on the verge of buying something from Nathan, I can assure you the quality of the product will surpass any expectations and it will probably be you writing to thank him when you get your knife!
