Deep breaths snowwolf ,in with the good, out with the bad, in with the good, out with the bad.

Be happy for Baetis, another happy camper and up and coming shark.

Stick with the breathing, I'll be back to check on ya in a bit. In with the good, out with the bad.

Sorry Snow, I want a M-43 and this looks like a mini one to me. I did notice the red ndog, excited for what it is! I joined BF just to lurk. Now that I am done with school and working, I have a little extra for stuff like this, so game on!

EMS on the KLVUK. Been really wanting one and this will be a good one to practice epoxy repair with.

Nice KLVUK dmcintyrelee... I just contacted Pug...he is going to make me a sheath for mine at a VERY reasonable price. I just have to send him the kukri and payment...easy enough and saves me from trying to make a kydex version. I much prefer leather anyway. Ill email you soon pug to make arrangements.

EMS on the BAS. Gotta get my friend a wedding present, and he hasn't been able to buy anything sharp lately 'cause he's saving up for the wedding.

Exactly what I was thinking,,, I have an IBBB that need pants as well. Just waiting on the DD from the queen..... can't beat that price

I love seeing them BAS's making a reappearance, I for one, really like them.

Thanks Cul! But I haven't received the coveted I got it email and the anticipation is killing me! I am like a kid the night before Christmas! My engineering work is going to suffer until it comes!

Four fine blades gone in little over an hour, nice..........It's like dope though, I find myself wanting two or three DOTD's now.
My habit seems to be getting worse. And this with a new bowie in my hand for only a few minutes. Already prowling. Maybe an intervention in my future.

Tell me about it Bawanna... I just paid of my credit card this morning after a month of HI purchases. I was happy for a couple of hours with a 0 balance. Now I have another bill to pay at the end of this month ahahah. Oh well, Im sure it wont be my only HI kukri for this month. I am hoping a good soak in boiled linseed oil will make that crack disappear. Can epoxy be used on horn or should I just leave it be?

How much is postage for the first one to England (United kingdom of great Britain)??

For horn handles, mineral oil is recommended instead of linseed oil.

If the crack might need some glue, better to glue and let dry before oiling. Then the oil won't interfere with adhesion. And maybe the glue will be held in tighter if the handle swells a little after soaking in oil?

Epoxy is good on horn, but I don't know if it's better than superglue for the small cracks.

I prefer epoxy for gap filling. In general superglue (CA) is not good to be used as a gap filler. It may look great when your done with it polishing and everything but in as little as a few weeks it will crack up and sometimes even break out of the crack. Superglue and oxygen are NOT compatible. Thats why its not recommended for use on porous surfaces (horn and wood). Like Steve said. Epoxy it first, finish it, then oil it.
