Frank Centofante has passed away

Condolences to Frank's family and friends. The knife community has suffered an irreplaceable loss.
 
Prayers go out to his family. A big loss to the knife community however his work will always live on and continue to inspire and be cherished.

A truly great designer and craftsman; tremendous skill.

May he rest in peace.

I spoke with Sue and she asks that in place of flowers, to please make a donation, in Frank's name, to St. Jude's or to any charity that takes care of animals. The memorial service in Rhode Island is not a private affair and I will post as soon as the arrangements have been made.

Gil and I choose to celebrate the wonderful life, family, and talent that Fank brought to this world. The fun, the jokes, the man. Though he will be dearly missed in this life, he will never be forgotten.

Aww man, terrible news...

Frank was a hell of a nice guy.

I met him earlier this year, when I bought a knife from him in Santa Barbara.
He called, and sent emails later to thank me for my purchase, then actually sought me out at my table at Blade to take a look at my knives.

I was honored, to say the least.

You will be missed Frank.
