So, as some of you may know, I've begun plans for my own slipjoints, but I've had something else up my sleeve... Forged fixed blades.
Here is my first completed knife with some progress pics. Large bowie forged from a leaf spring(5160), edge quenched, and heat treated in-house. Blade length is 8.25" with a 6.5" handle with bronze hardware, jatoba scales, a convex edge, tapered tang, with a "crusher" (doubles as a bottle opener
) extending from the bottom of the handle. Sharp enough to shave, and strong enough to chop down a small tree.
I have created a monster!!
