Cory, I don't know what you are talking about...:devilish::D

Thanks again Barry for the beautiful mark design!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Just got back from quenching the scimitar, now to toss 'er in the oven for a few hours, then its off to the grinder! You can just see the quench line where I dipped the edge in the oil, leaving the spine flexible with a hardened edge. This allows the sword to be able to flex and bend, while retaining a sharp cutting edge.

Stay tuned! More to come tonight!!!

Done with the grind! This thing is insanely sharp, and held its edge after repeatedly chopping into a PT 4x4. I can't wait to see how it feels with a handle!!

What do you guys think?

In case any of y'all were worried that Evan's work is limited to banging on steel, he does some pretty fine finish work, too

Here are a few (yes a few... *cough*) requests that I snuck in right before he closed his books. I think he did a pretty bang-up job!

Rough forged stuff is always cool, but those handles are a true sign of skill. May I ask what the material is in the blue stripe?

Those all came out awesome, Logan. The giraffe bone is particularly impressive stuff, and also that little bit of extra handle on the mini-c makes a huge difference in its looks.

It's reconstituted stone in a turquoise pattern, I got it from a knife supply shop. I've generally seen it come in scale size blanks or round disks (I'm assuming for hidden tang knives).

Thanks Phil (and Evan, of course!). I love that giraffe bone, the variations in the bone are awesome. And I'm really going to love this Mini C. I've always liked the blade shape but wasn't a huge fan of the shorter handle.

Very impressive Logan! Nice work Evan! Two thumbs up on both of you!!!

Here she is with the handle. I decided to go with some bubinga for the handle with bronze hardware and a mosaic pin in the center. I gave the bronze a hammered finish to give it a more antique feel. All I have left is to add my mark. What do you guys think?

That looks....intimidating. I don't know if I'd have a place for it in my collection, but if you were to come up alongside my boat holding that thing I'd definitely be nervous.

In all seriousness, it's an awesome looking blade. I think it's great that you're bringing such originality to your knives. You're doing things that are markedly different from what everybody else is doing. I think they refer to people like you as visionaries and true artists. Kudos to you for having the courage to go your own direction, and to be so good at it on top of it. It's a real treat to have the privilege to see your first creations as they are going through the process of becoming knives. Thanks for sharing.

I'm really liking that, Evan. A new build with a decidedly old-world look!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments! I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I've definitely got the forging bug now...

I'm carrying this one today; an esnyx modded Schrade USA 8OT with stag covers and modified sheepfoot blade. I love this knife! Thanks Evan!
