BINGO! That's gotta' be it. I wouldn't have seen them on the underside of the fly, and with our chickens they would have provided the environment for them. Thanks dude!
 
Frickin gross ,I hate that kind of crap. I am cursed with really good close up eyesite and I work outside so I see enough weird/gross/creepy bugs. I am glad you found out what they are.
 
Yeah--I'm just glad it's something "normal" and not some terrifying zombie brain-eating space chigger or something. Just some mites hitching a ride.
 
Makes me glad I'm not a bug; imagine having crawly things half the size of your head stuck to your stomach! and I thought ticks were bad...
