United States Marine Corps
0170-6 high carbon tool steel
Swiss GV6H, a 60% glass filled thermoplastic polymer alloy
Black epoxy coating
There are no trucks, they are vechicles

Be more specific on the first one What group in the Marine Corp.

Very close on the second question

third question is not correct.

3 Questions

1. Recently an organization tested the BK2SG (BK2 Serrated) along with over a dozen other knives. One of the comments that they made was it was a machete with an inferiority complex. The question is who was the group? Be specific, and no acronyms.

2. List the proper name that Camillus used for the 3 basic materials use to make the Becker knives? (steel, blade coating, and handle material.)

3. How many Trucks are on any US military base and what are the required equipment stored in them?

The first person that answers all three questions correctly will receive the BK2 with free shipping.

Thanks,
Tom

On each military post the truck (ball on top) of the flagpole and the base of the flagpole contain: a service revolver, a round of ammunition, and a book of matches. This is so that the commander instead of surrendering his post to the enemy can instead take down the flag, burn it to prevent desecration, and commit suicide rather than be taken alive.

Also have found there is a penny, so the country will never be broke, and a razor to remove the stripes from the flag.
This is good knowledge to know, even withou the BK2.

At West Point, plebes who are "know-it-alls" are usually asked this question [what is in the ball atop the pole] repeatedly until they break and beg for the answer. They are told it contains a match, a bullet and a grain of rice in case of a successful enemy attack. The rice will sustain the soldier to do what needs to be done; the match is used to destroy the flag so it will not be captured; the bullet is used for the same purpose so the soldier will not be captured.

The MACE answer is self explanatory.

The answer for the martial used in the Becker knife was right on the money.

A Truck is a military name for the Flagpole. the answer for the number of Trucks and contents was correct.

If a US military Base is overrun the bullet is (a 45 cal.) there to defend yourself with while you cut up the flag and then burn it. This it done to avoid the enemy from capturing the US flag. You are not permitted to burn the US flag while it is intact, so you must cut it up first.

Congratulations to the winner! I had the first two answers but could never have come up with the third. BTW MACE stands for " Martial Arts Center for Excellence" according to the Leatherneck Magazine webpage showing the article .

Tom,
Thanks for this generous gift in honor of this forum and Camillus Knives. There's a good chance however, I won't have it for long. A few weeks ago, one of the members AR15.com's Texas Hometown Forum let us know that he will soon be deployed to Iraq. Here's the thread:

http://ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=8&t=265749

I've met Adam a few times and decided that rather than babysit all these Beckers in my home, I was going to give him one to take to Iraq. I sent him an email a a few days ago to see if we could arrange a day and time to meet, and he could choose one to take with him. It may be this new one you're sending, or one of the two serrated BK&T 2's I received last week, or any one of the others I own....his choice, you know? In fact, I saw him today at a local gunshow, so hopefully we can meet this week. I'll let you know what he decides.

Thanks again, and as for the rest of you guys, I'm sure we'll all see each other on the new Camillus Forum, whenever that may be.

Thats a tremendous gesture on your part. I'm glad to see that the knife will be put to use. Please don't for get to send me your address. If you need help doing so, right mouse click on my name (CRKS) and choose "send email to CRKS". I will get this out ASAP.

Thanks,
Tom

Congratulations geegee, and thanks for the chance CRKS.

I jumped in because I've always wanted a Companion, and I can't turn down a chance to win a free knife. The truck question completely stumped me though.
