Free clips from Benchmade being sold on eBay

Rather amazing to see clips for sale online, when they've been free for the asking for many years.

Whoa, everyone is in agreement for once! True douchebag indeed.

*You know how there's always one or two that goes against the majority. Can't really do that here!

Not trying to stir the pot, but including the one this seller has up for sale now, he has only sold two others if you look at his sold listings. Maybe they came from knives he already owns? I know people who take the pocket clips off of their knives as they prefer carrying them in their pocket. Anyhow, I don't think this points to someone making a business out of selling free clips.

Anyone with an ebay account report this guy. Step up for once if it bothers you...

And say what? He's a great big bag with which one douches? He's selling stuff he got for free? What he is doing is immoral but not against their rules.

There's someone selling a deep-carry clip for $1000 buy it now, and $100 starting bid.

There truly are some idiots that sell on the bay. Probably equally as many idiot buyers. I'm going to take a guess that it won't sell, even at $100...
Last week I ordered 7 new clips from BM. We left on Thursday to go hunting, and when we came home today, there was an envelope in the mail from BM :D

Did you read the description?

And you hurt my feelings...

I noticed this a few months back. Honestly the more you bring this kinda thing to other peoples attention the more likely others are to follow. It's 100% profit. People would be stupid not to do it.I think I'm more upset with the buyers. It's sad. Do a little research and make your life easier. Please. I'm tempted to buy fake Spyderco knock off's and return them to a store after purchasing geniune ones after someone brought it up in a thread. It's a terrible thing to do but I'm sure many have done it. Who's gonna stop this? All of this is out of control with the fakes and general scamming. People should have to have proof somehow that they at least own a Benchmade cause where there is a good scam to be making a profit there's gonna be tons of scammers in line for it. Can't even imagine how many people call Benchmade just for the clips that just sell them on the Bay for free money that don't even own a Benchmade.

Huh ?

Why would you be more upset with the people that buy them ? Not everyone spends their free time on a knife forum, so they are unlikely to know about programs like this... The people that buy them aren't the ones that are taking advantage of a great service that is provided free to BM customers.

The fact that you are even tempted to buy fake Spyderco knives and return them to a store, doesn't say much about your character or morals... Just because others do it,, it is ok, and you are tempted ?

There will always be people that take advantage of a good thing. That will never change. I read another member that stated BM limits the free clips to 10 per year. Yes it's pure profit if they got them free, but say that they sell each one for $10, that's $100 a year, not including seller fees. Is that small of an amount really worth it ?

I received 7 clips from BM a couple days ago. Three different variations. If for some strange reason I decided I didn't need all of them ( that ain't gonna happen :D ), there is no way I could list them for sale. I would offer them up free of charge here on the forums, with the understanding that they were not to be sold....
