Would have to be knife "C" for me, but with a difirent handle...like the one on knife B. In my opnion that would make one versetile knife...for just about any kind of cut.

thans for the contest!

I have little experience with fighters, but from my personal perspective I like the blade design and grind of knife B, but it seems to me that it should be combined with knife C's handle. This would allow you to maximize the cutting edge and give a better thumb grip to the handle. Perhaps adding a different texture to the handle would help, so that you could retain you grip, if it was wet/bloody. Also, the exposed butt speaks to me.
Lagarto.

It's hard to choose between such beautiful knives, but I'll go with C. I really like it's blade design, and double edge should give you more options (technique wise) on a fighter.

I'd choose knife C simply because it looks to be the most 'dedicated' fighter.

I'd do somrthing about the handle material though -- it dosen't look to have the best grip. Perhaps you could just change the texture on it?

Thanks for the contest.

I prefer blade C with the following mods:

1) Some kind of wood or G10 scales should replace the Micarta. For me at least, Micarta--even bead-blasted canvas Micarta--is just too slippery, especially for a fighter.

2) For me, I'd prefer either VG-10 stainless, D-2 semi-stainless, or O-1 non-stainless over anything in the ATS-34, -55, or 154-CM class--I've had far too many problems with rust with those three types of steels. O-1 can be hard-chromed, which I'd gladly do; D-2 seems to do well, especially REKAT's D-2E; and VG-10 is given plenty of joy by people whose opinions I respect.

I would like the blade of knife "C" with the handles of knife "A"

Nice knives and thanks for the opportunity!:)

Knife "A" just seems more classic.
The only change I would like would
be nicely figured wood. I spend a lot
more time looking at my knives
than using them. ;)
Thanks for asking for input

My first instinct is usually my best and here it was knife A. I really like the handle shape and it looks like it would fit fine in most hands. I also like how the tang extends out the handle for a lanyard and I think the bigger lanyard hole is great. I seems like it could serve several applications -- quick threading or putting differents diameter rope on it.

The handle does look slippery. Maybe some material with a more grippy feel would would better. Although you can never tell until you really use it.

The blade shape is definitely my favorite of the bunch. It seems to have the most belly of the three which I like.

Overall A just looks like the more all around user. The others have there place and look great. But for what I want, looking at the three, I would pick up A if I had the choice.

got to be C for me. Best way to slash quick any way, and easy to stick in it stuff

Oh man! A all the way. I love micarta and O-1 and the handle shape looks great. The single finger groove should provide a solid grip. The main thing I like though, is the design is functional for much more than fighting. It would make a very good skinner and a good all around camp knife. Designs that are good for fighting only are not very practical in the real world IMHO. The percentage of fighters that are actually used in that role is very small. The percentage used in that role multiple times is infinitesimal. Therefore I prefer I knife that works very well as a fighter but that also fulfills the utlity role. If it is not practical, chances are it will be left behind.

I am greatful for the input and will be glad to provide the knife for the winner.
I have Emailed Spark to get a winner picked on Monday.

Winner gets to pick the knife they want.

Pick the design with there Mods and I will build one for them.

A is it! I've always liked a drop point or similar design and the handle looks more ergonomic, all the better for comfort as well as retention.

I like design C, but I would want several mods.

The basic outline of the blade is great, and I love the high point and extensive belly. However I would make the upper convex edge a false edge, and give the the primary edge a slightly higher hollow grind (like a semi-skinner). ATS-34 is fine, though BG-42 might be nicer.

I would want a down-turned handle like on knife A, both for ergos and for appearance. The number of pins in the Micarta are a bit of an eyesore -- one more thing that is nicer about the hilt on knife A. Finally the Micarta should be textured, either with checkering or by sand/bead blasting.

Very cool fighter!! I do like A also, but have too many like that already

I like the blade of A the most, but I think I'm a traditionalist about it. I like all 3 handles, but the C handle looks a little more comfortable, with the A pins it would be my favorite. (And now you'll tell me they are the same--they look a little different.)
