I'm working on commercial series fiction for pay (woo hoo!) while still working towards mainstream independent success as an author. Each goal becomes the stepping stone to the next.

When you say mainstream, are you referring to your preferred genre; i.e. contemporary/literary or just referring to general independent success? If the latter is the case, do you have a favorite genre? I know you mentioned an earlier scifi work. Please excuse my nosiness but I'm always interested in how writers get their start.

My name is Tyler and I am 20 year old college student in columbus ohio who just recently got started in knives thanks to my roommate. I only have about 10-15 knives and would love another one.
