Phil,

I'm in nursing school right now and will be working on an ambulance as an EMT until I'm done with school. After I graduate I plan on pulling the odd shift as an EMT just to stay sharp with emergency medicine.

If you are planning on giving away a knife that would be useful to an EMT in the field, let me know. I have a Kershaw JYDII that I consider to be just fine for my purposes. If you have something that would be better suited to EMS service then I would be interested. As I said though, I do have a knife that seems to suit me well.

Going back to school cost me everything. I sold my BMW, my stereo, my clothes, anything I had. It's all gone. I don't care though, I get to do what I want. It's not a hardship. It is definitely a scheduling issue with regards to buying knives. I will not be buying the railroad spike knife I very much would like to have for at least another two years. Financial pressures are what they are.

I will only accept a knife suitable for use as an EMT in Los Angeles County. No fixed blades. If you have something more suitable to a collector please send it to a collector. I will be cutting tape and seat belts and things like that.

Congratulations on your success!

phil give this guy the knife ^ emt's in la get exposed to some preaty horendous situations, and they definantly need a good knife. and thanks for all the free knife reviews on your site, i have made many good knife purchases based on them.

Might as well enter, thanks for the opportunity!

Although if shipping to Down Under is too high, don't bother.

Very generous of you phil. Please count me in.

Nice to hear that your change in life direction has gone well and that you are happy.

Hi Phil,

Congrats on the new life and I'd like a free knife. I'll even take a picture of it and post it.

Thanks,

Well, alrite Phil.
I do like havin' me a free gift that you would send at no additional charge.
Appreciate the chance.
My thanks to you for the great many pleasures by having visited your knife site numerously in times past. Wasn't a day since that I would have forgotten your name. Good job!

I'll have a crack mate.
Good to hear of such a great turnaround in a five year plan.
I'll pay post if it makes a difference

if you ship to Aus im in. This comes as great news, last week my hous was broken into and they cleared my brand new small collection of knives and my $350 saved up for a strider. Nothing beats a free knife to start a collection again.

I'll jump on board. Phil's site and the information therein led me on a circumlocutious path to here so my world is round...like my head!

Dear Phil,
I have always admired your work.
I never fail to read your articles on your website, in fact it is my homepage that my puter loads at start up.
I have your previous martial arts book and I am eagerly awaiting your new Book.
I think that what I enjoy most is your sense of humour and straight forward style.
I hope when I visit the USA next year we might be able to catch up for a Beer or 12.
Keep up the good work.

Good luck to all. I know that I won't get the knife but I just wanted to post to convey to the Sharp Phil this is a nice thing to do for a deserving member of our community.

Aloha and mahalo to all on the forum.
