I have been having problems getting large pictures through email for the knife calendar. So for the last week i have been working on a simple photo upload thing to put on my site. Well it turned into a great thing and i want to offer it to all the blade forum members to use. It will give you img links so you can paste it straight to here and the picture will show full size. Also you have your own account so you can manage your pictures. And i have it set to except files that are 100mb in size and not shrink or reduce its quality. You have to register. Please use your blade forums user name as if your not a member here you will be deleted. Im offering this just to knife makers and it will be up for ever so its not a temp thing. Here is the link. www.jtcustomknives.com/calendar/index.php let me know what you think
IT IS NOW WORKING

" Information does not match our data base"

It won't let me do anything. I sent you new pics by the way.

o man i posted under bubs user name :D, i guess thats what happens when you some times use some one elses computer.

um just the pictures of her tummy and that she can spell and i cant :D

I gave every one 250MB of storage and 3gb of bandwidth every month

UP AND READY, every one go and sign up.

I was thinking that you wear some really funny underwear for a guy if that is your tummy.:p:D

Spot me...I'm going in.

utoh, I got this error.

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: File exists in /home/jtcusto1/public_html/calendar/includes/functions.inc.php on line 20
Unable to create user folder for userid: 2. Check directory permission. Registration halted. User not registered.

Has anyone else gotten into this thing ?
It won't let me in after 3 tries. Maybe I'm missing something (?)

Looks like I ain't alone.

ok i had to compleatley reinstall everything and delete the databases. its now working and that is confirmed by bubba-doll. so come and join :D

Register and Log-on work now.

How long should it take to upload? It still says "uploading" after 15 minutes?

I checked the main folder and there is nothing in it. That also seemed to make the uploading window empty. I'll try again tonight.

Also, with 250 MB of total storage, it will only take about 4-5 tif. files to fill it. Professional photos are BIG files, often 40-90 MB.

This storage site will be of great use in making posts on the BF, when using medium size jpeg. files., or to temporarily host a large file for a post.

Thanks for seting this up, JT.

it will not just host pictures but any other file as welll. Stacy i uped your limit to 3000MB with unlimited bandwidth transfer, hope that helps ;). i just have the default set to 250MB as not everyone needs huge amounts of space. but if someone needs more thay can just email me and i will up it. if this takes off i might get more space and bandwidth.

OK OK OK I just got off the phone with my Hosting company and i guess when my site starts to get full all i have to do is call them and thay will give me more as my account has rolled over into an unlimited space and bandwidth accound. so there is no limmits for any one on size or bandwidth. also, stacy i think why it was not uploading is that there is a place where you can set in the user setting how large i want to alow each file. i set it to 100 thinking it ment MB but when i went back and checked it says KB. so i had onley set it to alow 100KB :). it should run smooth as a babys butt. you will notic that when you go to upload somthing that right above the upload boxes it says "Note: Currently this server is set to accept files no larger than 100M. Make sure the individual files are smaller than this limit as they will be discarded otherwise. ". it was set to 2MB because my PHP.INI file that my host has is set to a default of 2MB. but i downloaded the file to my sight and snooped around inside it till i found the setting and changed it to 100mb. but now im thinking of changing it to 1000MB.

ok did a test because things kinda where acting funny and would not upload large files because it was timeing out. so after some reporgraming it works great. i uploaded 200MB of files, it was 3 photoshop files that equled 200mb and it uploaded it in 3.5 min. not to shaby if i do say so my self.

OK. I got seven loaded. It does take a long time ( about 15 minutes) but they all are in the folder.

I am not all that familiar with this sort of work. Can someone walk me through the procedure to post a photo on a thread.

I have the photo folder on JT's site open and I see the button....
I have a comment window open on a thread, and it has an [IMG] icon....
I click that and I get a URL window........
How do I move a photo from one to the other?
Stacy
